New Year, New (More Talented) Me

I know I'm late, but Happy New Years!!! I don't know about you, but I have a great feeling about 2018. The year has hardly begun and I'm already on season 3 of Desperate Housewives. Talk about an accomplishment! With every new year, most people have a goal they'd like to achieve in hopes of becoming a better version of themselves. Popular new year resolutions are eating healthy, working out more, and spending less money. Those are also some of my main goals for 2018, but I know myself. I'd start off motivated but slowly veer of track. In case the big 3 become a flop, I created another set of resolutions that I will surely be able to accomplish.

This year, I have decided that I would like to master a new skill by the end of every month. These skills are quirky little talents that will surely turn heads or evoke a conversation. Some of these include learning card magic tricks, making balloon animals, juggling (I can juggle with two balls, but I'm not sure if that counts) and learning how to play the harmonica.

For the month of January, my goal is to master the art of knitting. It was quite difficult at first, but I eventually got the hang of it. The first scarf I made was a complete fail, so I ended up having to give it to my cat, S'mores. I made another scarf that actually fits me and matches the one I gave S'mores, but it's got a lot of weird bumps and holes. Eventually, I was able to create a perfect scarf. I have been obsessed ever since I started and am learning how to knit other things. I even knitted while going out to eat at Whataburger with my best friend, and yes, people did stare.

I hope that you are able to stick with your resolutions and enjoy the person you become by the end of the year!

Cheers,

Danish
